Developers officially announced plans for Gale Boutique Hotel and Residences in Fort Lauderdale Beach. Set to rise on a 2.5-acre site near the Intracoastal Waterway, the luxury development will contain 128 condominiums and 96 hotel rooms.

The developers of Miami's Aria on the Bay are preparing to convert condo reservations into contracts. Currently, over 40 percent of the luxury tower's 647 units are reserved. Located in the Arts and Entertainment District, Aria will capitalize on the special atmosphere of Miami.

Luxury home sales in Palm Beach County rose in 2014. Approximately 1,100 homes priced at 1 million dollars or more sold throughout the year. The luxury home sales mark a 16 percent increase from a year prior and a 54 percent increase from 2012.

According to the 4th Quarter 2014 Elliman Reports, the Miami Beach real estate market continued to post gains. Overall home prices in Miami Beach and the barrier islands increased, as did available inventory.
