Douglas Elliman Real Estate is continually looking for new and innovative ways to help their agents. They work to enure Elliman agents are the best and most well-equipped real estate professionals in the industry. So, in an attempt to look forward and stay ahead of the ever-changing technology race within the brokerage world, Douglas Elliman has launched “Douglas”.
“Douglas” is a new internal platform providing agents access to a vast array of corporate resources from marketing tools to an app store. In addition to the wealth of internal resources, the platform already has more than a dozen partnerships with third party apps with more expected to come in the near future.
Douglas Elliman has chosen the partnership route over developing apps in-house from scratch. Scott Durkin, Elliman’s COO said, “We’re not a technology company. We sell real estate.” This approach allows Douglas Elliman to focus on real estate business and the application providers work to maintain their products.
Through “Douglas”, agents can use corporate apps, including marketing tools and a listings entry system, without paying. They’re charged directly for third-party apps, but the firm negotiates discounts with the cost varying by product.
